GREAT FOR: Processing content in a wide variety of ways; can also support discussions, collaboration, and making connections among multiple concepts or topics.
You start on padlet.com by selecting the type of template you want to use.
The possibilities are many indeed.
Digital Whiteboards for All: Create a digital space for the collection of information: websites, videos, images, diagrams etc. Have students post their ideas, reflections, brainstorms, and more. Padlet is collaborative and can be manipulated by multiple users in real time, and can be published or shared with others.
Padlet is free for basic use, but plans start at $12 for advanced features and options. So far, we've been able to do tons of things with the free account and do not yet have experience with the paid account offerings.
Check out Lisa Lacy's Post-Discussion comments. You can download the comments and create a PDF. Students were highly engaged in the discussion, and then they had an opportunity to share their most insightful comments on the padlet. Lisa can now go back and read all of these, as well as post this on her website for students to reference later.
